Multan region police achieves remarkable success

MULTAN, Jan 03 (APP):On the directions of the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan, a performance report for the year 2025 was released, highlighting significant improvements in public service delivery and crime prevention across the Multan division.
According to the report, the police in Multan, Vehari, Khanewal and Lodhran districts introduced several historical initiatives during the year for the safety of the public and preventing crime which yield positive results.
Spokesperson for the Regional Police stated that to expand the scope of public services, 13 new Khidmat Markaz (Service Centers) were established across the division in 2025. Through these centers, more than 450,000 citizens were provided with various police-related services. In addition, over 7,500 individuals, including women and children, received immediate and effective assistance at Tahaffuz (Protection) Centers.
The report noted remarkable success in crime control efforts. Incidents of robbery and dacoity declined by 54 percent, while vehicle and motorcycle snatching dropped by 42 percent.
As a result of effective police operations, stolen goods worth Rs 600 million was recovered from criminal elements and returned to its rightful owners.
During the year, police recovered 110 tolas of gold, 50 cars, 2,950 motorcycles, and several other vehicles. Additionally, over 7,500 stolen cattle were traced and handed back to the affected owners.
To improve traffic management and promote awareness of modern driving standards, the police established six new driving schools, where 15,000 citizens received formal driving training. Moreover, a total of 666,000 driving licenses were issued across the division.
The report further revealed that due to continuous efforts by the police, 160 missing children, elderly persons and other citizens were successfully traced and reunited with their families.
