Multan Literary Festival reconnects  youth with books

MULTAN, Oct 18 (APP):Renowned critic and educationist Dr. Mukhtar Zafar said that the book fair organized as part of the sixth season of the Multan Literary Festival was a remarkable effort to reconnect the younger generation with books.
Speaking on the second day of the event during the introduction ceremony of 100 books, Dr. Zafar praised the organizers for creating an inspiring literary environment that celebrates knowledge and creativity.
Host of the festival, Raziuddin Razi, expressed his delight over the large participation of young people, calling it an encouraging sign for the literary future of the region.
Like the opening day, the second day of the fair also witnessed an impressive turnout of authors, poets, and book lovers. Many writers attended the event with their newly published works, while readers and critics engaged in meaningful discussions about contemporary literature.
Prominent participants included Rana Mahboob Akhtar, Rao Aftab Ariz, Saleem Qaiser, Shahid Abbas, Shakeel Pitafi, Shaukat Naeem Qadri, Shehzad Imran Khan, Saima Noreen Bukhari, Zafar Abbas Naqvi, Aamir Hussaini, Abdul Qayyum, Aamil Jampuri, Ali Imran Mumtaz, Inayat Ali Qureshi, Dr. Khadija Wakeel, Mukhtar Bhutta, Dr. Mehboob Tabish, Dr. Javed Pitafi, Gul Nasreen, Dr. Ikhlaq Qadri, Amjad Ramay, Muhammad Mukhtar Ali, and Luqman Nasir.
The event concluded with a collective acknowledgment of the festival’s growing role in reviving reading culture and strengthening Multan’s literary heritage.
