MPA Nawab Aslam vows to provide quality, modern higher education to youth of Mastung
QUETTA, Jun 22 (APP):Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani on Monday said that providing quality and modern higher education to the youth of Mastung is among his top priorities and he would play every possible role to make this project a reality.
He said this when he, along with Director Mastung Sub-Campus Muhammad Iqbal Tareen, met with Secretary Colleges, Higher and Technical Education Balochistan Saleh Baloch.
The matters related to the expansion of Mastung Sub-Campus, development projects and future educational infrastructure were discussed in detail during the meeting.
The discussed the proposed construction project, concept paper, PC-1 and future development roadmap on 50 acres of land allotted for Mastung Sub-Campus in Ghanja Dori area of Mastung district.
On this occasion, Director Mastung Sub-Campus Muhammad Iqbal Tareen gave a detailed briefing to the Secretary Colleges on various aspects of the proposed project and informed that a comprehensive educational campus compatible with modern requirements was being planned on the said land, which would be a milestone in the promotion of higher education in the region.
The meeting also considered various issues and needed being faced by the campus, including transport facilities, provision of clean drinking water, security arrangements, shortage of classrooms, improvement of teaching facilities and promotion of modern educational technology.
The participants emphasized that digital learning systems, computer laboratories, smart classrooms and modern research facilities should be made part of the project to provide education compatible with the modern requirements to the students.
During the meeting, Vice Chancellor of the University of Balochistan, Professor Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai also participated in the meeting telephonically and assured his full support and cooperation for the development of Mastung Sub-Campus, improvement of educational quality and the success of the proposed project.
The participants appreciated the special interest and positive role of the Vice Chancellor regarding the Mastung Sub-Campus.
On this occasion, Former Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani said that providing quality and modern higher education to the youth of Mastung was among his top priorities and he would play every possible role to make this project a reality.
He assured that intensive contacts would also be made at the federal level for the early approval of the proposed project and the start of the construction process.
Nawab Aslam Raisani said that he would soon meet the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, while if necessary, he could also meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and try to obtain federal cooperation for the Mastung Sub-Campus project so that the construction work on this important educational project would be started as soon as possible.
He said that providing modern higher education facilities to the youth of Balochistan, especially Mastung, was the need of the hour and full efforts would be continued in collaboration with all the relevant institutions to achieve this goal.
Secretary Colleges Saleh Baloch appreciated the suggestions presented regarding the expansion and development of Mastung Sub-Campus and assured that the Balochistan government would provide all possible support for the improvement of educational institutions, provision of modern facilities and promotion of higher education.
The meeting concluded in a pleasant atmosphere in which the commitment to make Mastung Sub-Campus a modern educational center, provide better educational facilities to the students and accelerate the practical progress on the project was reiterated.
