QUETTA, Dec 02 (APP): Implementing the announcement of the allotment of a girls’ hostel for Gwadar University by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, MPA Gwadar Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch on Tuesday formally inaugurated the hostel constructed by the Balochistan Government.
Addressing at the ceremony of inauguration, the Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) said that this initiative is being termed as an important milestone in terms of providing safe and quality accommodation for female students.
He said that availability of a girls’ hostel provides great convenience especially for female students who come to study at the University of Gwadar from areas outside Gwadar city.
He said that the establishment of this hostel would not only solve the housing problems of female students coming from outside districts but could also provide a positive and supportive educational environment for local female students.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaq Sabir, Registrar Daulat Khan, Dean Faculty of Social Science Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rahim Mehar, Principal Gwadar College Naseer Ahmed, University officers and other distinguished guests.
The Vice Chancellor thanked the Balochistan government, especially Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and said that facilities like the girls hostel further strengthen the development of the university and the educational journey of the female students.
He termed it as a significant step forward in the promotion of education.
In his address, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch appreciated the steps taken by the provincial government and said that such facilities are indispensable for the promotion of women’s education.
He hoped that the opening of the hostel would be a source of improvement, convenience and encouragement for the female students.
