MoU signed between Balochistan Information Commission and Transparency International Pakistan

QUETTA, May 22 (APP):A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the Balochistan Information Commission and Transparency International Pakistan, aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation to promote the right to access information, transparency, accountability, and good governance.
The signing ceremony was attended by Secretary Information Balochistan Imran Khan, Director General Public Relations Noor Khaitran, Commissioner of the Balochistan Information Commission Abdul Shakoor Khan, and Executive Director of Transparency International Pakistan Kashif Sheikh. The MoU was signed by Commissioner Abdul Shakoor Khan on behalf of the Balochistan Information Commission, while Executive Director Kashif Sheikh signed on behalf of Transparency International Pakistan.
Under this agreement, both institutions will collaborate in information dissemination, awareness campaigns, training workshops, and policy development, utilizing each other’s experience and resources. The initiative aims to foster transparent governance and ensure public access to their constitutional right to information.
Secretary Information Imran Khan termed the initiative a positive step and stated that the Balochistan government is committed to the principles of transparency and accountability, and such measures will further strengthen public trust in government institutions.
Both the Balochistan Information Commission and Transparency International Pakistan expressed their resolve to continue working together to make reform processes more effective in the future.
