LAHORE, Dec 07 (APP):The National Highways and Motorway Police issued a travel advisory in view of heavy fog in various areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.
According to the Motorway police advisory instructions, the risk of accidents on national highways and motorways increases manifold due to extremely low visibility due to fog. In case of heavy fog, the relevant motorway sections may be temporarily closed for the safety of travelers.
It urged travelers to complete their journey between 10 am and 8 pm and to completely avoid unnecessary travel at night.
During the journey, drivers must use fog lights in their vehicles, keep the wipers in proper condition, keep a greater distance from the vehicle in front and never use high beam lights as this further reduces visibility.
Furthermore, Motorway police sources said that passengers should use the helpline number 130, FM 95 radio and social media to know the latest situation before starting their journey.
