BAHAWALPUR, Jan 07 (APP):Motorway M-5 was closed from Multan to Zahirpir on Wednesday morning due to heavy smog,which severely reduced visibility.
The smog blanketed the region overnight,affecting both Multan and Bahawalpur.
According to the local Met Office,they have forecast that smog will persist for the next 48 hours,particularly during the late night to early morning hours.
Authorities have advised drivers to avoid travel in the affected areas and exercise caution.
