PESHAWAR, Oct 23 (APP):A motorbike polio awareness rally was organized on Thursday to highlight the importance of administering polio drops to children.
The rally began at 2:30 p.m. from the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) near Molvi Jee Hospital and concluded at the Peshawar Press Club.
More than 40 bikers participated in the rally, carrying banners and chanting slogans to encourage the public to ensure that their children receive polio drops during every immunization campaign. The purpose of the event was to emphasize that regular vaccination is the most effective way to protect children from lifelong disability caused by polio.
The rally was attended by Sarir Ahmad Malik, President of Rotary Club Peshawar South, the Assistant Commissioner of Peshawar Cantonment, and CDG Abdul Rauf Rohilla.
Addressing the participants, Sarir Ahmad Malik stressed the need for collective efforts to eradicate polio, stating: “Polio drops are essential for the health and future of our children. Every parent must ensure their children receive polio vaccination so that together, we can achieve a polio-free Pakistan.”
At the end, participants reaffirmed their commitment and support for the complete eradication of polio.
