SARGODHA, Jul 24 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Capt (retd) Muhammad Wasim on Thursday chaired a meeting to discuss the effective utilisation of 10 mosque plots in the New Satellite Town under the Housing Department.
According to DC office’s spokesperson here, the meeting decided to develop the mosque plots under a public-private partnership model, where private institutions will provide medical services.
The DC said that the revenue generated will be given to the mosque administration to make them financially self-sufficient. “The initiative aims to promote social welfare projects and provide financial autonomy to mosques”, he added.
Muhammad Wasim said that the New Satellite Town model will serve as an example for other areas. “The district administration is committed to promoting public welfare and self-reliance of religious institutions”, the DC concluded.
