More rain forecast for Lahore

LAHORE, Jul 23 (APP): Heavy to moderate rain lashed the city on Wednesday, bringing a welcome drop in temperature.
The MET office has forecast more showers in the next 24 hours.
The downpour which began in the early hours and continued intermittently till noon, affected multiple parts of the city.
According to the Wasa data, the highest rainfall was recorded in Tajpura at 115 mm followed by Karim Park, Ravi Road, and Bhatti Gate with 99 mm each. Other significant readings, included Aik Moriya Pull (98 mm), Lakshami Chowk, GPO, Naba Road, Railway Station, Empress Road, and Cooper Road (94 mm each), Rasool Park and Shama Road (75 mm), and Johar Town (35 mm).
Meanwhile, the MET Office warned of possible flash floods during the night of July 23 and
throughout July 24 in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Buner, and other upper regions. Urban flooding is likely in low-lying areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, and surrounding districts. Landslides and road closures are expected in hilly regions of KP, Murree, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The rain was also reported in cities, including Attock, Jhelum, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Okara, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, and several locations in KP and Gilgit-Baltistan.
On Wednesday’s highest temperature was recorded in Dalbandin at 46°C, while Lahore experienced 34°C.
