KOHAT, Jul 15 (APP):The Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2025 was formally inaugurated at Commissioner House Kohat on Tuesday on the special instructions of Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Chief Secretary Syed Shahab Ali Shah.
According to APP correspondent, Commissioner Kohat Mutasim BIllah Shah and DC Kohat presided over the ceremony and planted twelve saplings as a symbol of inauguration.
In the initial phase, a total of 15,000 fruit trees were distributed among the local people in all four districts of Kohat division.
In the second phase of the campaign, a major ceremony will be held at Kohat University of Science and Technology on July 16, where 2,500 more fruit trees will be planted under the leadership of Commissioner.
Around 30,000 fruit trees will be planted in various government institutions, educational institutions and public places of Kohat division during this week.
The aim of this initiative is to reduce environmental pollution, strengthen the Green KPK movement and provide nutritional and economic benefits from fruit trees to the local population.
The district and tehsil administrations, forest departments, students, teachers, social workers and local people are being made part of the campaign so that this national goal can become a collective struggle.
