Monsoon tree plantation drive launched at Girls College

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jul 28 (APP):A plantation ceremony was held at Government Girls Degree College No. 1 Dera Ismail Khan under the ongoing Monsoon plantation drive.
The event was organized under the supervision of the district administration and the Department of Forests wherein Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief and HR) Tehreem Shah, Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Syed Arsalan Shah, College Principal Aafia Saadat, Sub-Divisional Forest Officer Asif Kundi, officials from the District Forest Office, and probationary officers of the Provincial Management Services, including Uswah Jameela, Taimoor-ul-Hassan, and Muhammad Umair participated.
During the ceremony, fruit-bearing trees such as pomegranate, bauhinia, plum, guava, black plum, lemon, and sapodilla were planted in the college premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tehreem Shah emphasized that tree planting is a form of ongoing charity and a critical need of the time. She urged all citizens to actively participate in the campaign and prioritize planting fruit-bearing trees to support the environment and future generations.
