Tank , Jul 16 (APP):Assistant Commissioner Tank, Jamshed Alam, along with Principal Shabbir Ahmad, inaugurated the monsoon tree plantation campaign by planting saplings at Government Degree College Tank.
The launch ceremony was also attended by Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Nek Muhammad and staff of the Forest Department. On this occasion, dozens of fruit-bearing saplings were planted within the college premises as part of the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Jamshed Alam said that the district administration is committed to involving all government departments, educational institutions, and local communities in the monsoon plantation drive. The goal, he said, is to ensure large-scale plantation across the district during the monsoon season.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the success of the plantation campaign.
