KARACHI, Feb 05 (APP): Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, while paying tribute to all Kashmiris and Kashmiri martyrs on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, said that February 5 is a manifestation of Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
He stated that the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been fighting for their fundamental rights and the right to self-determination for decades.
In a statement, he said that India, particularly under Modi, unleashed severe state oppression but failed to demoralize the Kashmiri people. He reaffirmed that Pakistan stands by the Kashmiri people and that its support will continue at all levels.
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that India’s policies violate international human rights principles and pose a threat to peace and security across the entire region.
He added that the international community cannot ignore the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, nor the rising number of political prisoners and missing persons.
He urged international organizations to play an immediate and effective role in ensuring the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
He further stated that Indian terrorism has led to instability, military tension, and a humanitarian crisis in the region. The struggle of the Kashmiri people, he said, is a struggle for human rights and justice. Pakistan will continue to raise its voice at the global level in support of their legitimate demands.
