ABBOTTABAD, Jan 02 (APP): Commissioner Hazara Division Fayaz Ali Shah following the directives of the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday has announced key measures to improve the standard of education, stating that model schools will be established in every tehsil to provide a better learning environment for students.
He expressed these views while presiding over an important meeting attended by all Deputy Commissioners and District Education Officers (male and female). The meeting reviewed the selection of model schools, administrative arrangements, and a comprehensive strategy to enhance the quality of education across the division.
The commissioner directed that any deficiencies identified in the selected model schools should be addressed through the effective utilization of Parent-Teacher Council (PTC) funds.
He stressed the importance of teachers’ training and counseling to align teaching methods with modern educational requirements, saying this would help build students’ confidence and improve their overall personality development. He added that these steps would enable students of government schools to compete with those from private institutions.
The meeting also decided to include lectures by motivational speakers and communication skills training as part of the initiative to increase students’ interest in education and help them make full use of their abilities.
Commissioner Fayaz Ali Shah instructed education officers to submit written reports justifying the selection of model schools so that a final notification could be issued. He reiterated his commitment to creating an educational environment in government schools that ensures a bright future for students and brings them at par with the best educational institutions.
