MULTAN, Dec 15 (APP):A comprehensive security mock exercise was held at the mechanical engineering department of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) to assess preparedness and response mechanisms in emergency situations.
The exercise was supervised and guided by DSP Gulgasht Arshad Qayyum Chughtai, along with SHO DHA Police Station Tanveer Aslam, who monitored operational coordination and on-ground execution.
Multiple law enforcement and emergency response agencies participated in the drill, including police, elite force, Rescue 1122, Special Branch, CRO Branch, PRO Branch, Mohafiz Squad, Dolphin Squad, Bomb Disposal Squad, Civil Defence, Fire Brigade, and other relevant departments.
The drill was successfully completed, with all participating departments demonstrating coordination, timely action, and professional handling of simulated emergency scenarios.
Multan police reaffirmed commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens, particularly students and staff of educational institutions, and stated that such exercises will continue to strengthen preparedness and public safety across the city.
