FAISALABAD, Nov 06 (APP):The police have launched its first-ever Mobile Police Station Service in Faisalabad region under the community policing policy which is a significant milestone in bringing law enforcement closer to the public.
Police spokesman Rizwan Bhatti said here on Thursday that the initiative has been introduced on the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) to ensure that citizens can conveniently access key police services right at their doorsteps. The service would help strengthen public trust and make police assistance more accessible, efficient, and responsive to everyday community needs, he added.
He said that through this Mobile Police Station, the citizens will be able to benefit from a wide range of essential services including filing applications and complaints, obtaining police verifications, reporting missing items or persons and seeking guidance for character certificates and other formal procedures. The mobile unit is designed to serve as a mini police facilitation center on wheels, ensuring prompt assistance without requiring citizens to visit police stations, he added.
He said that the mobile van will operate across public areas, residential colonies, marketplaces and rural vicinities, visiting designated locations on a daily schedule so that the citizens can conveniently access services from their nearby points. The facility would particularly assist elderly citizens, women and individuals residing in far-off areas who often face difficulties in visiting police offices, he added.
Spokesman Rizwan Bhatti further said that this project is a practical step toward modern policing and public-centered service delivery. “Faisalabad Region Police under the vision of effective community engagement is utilizing all available resources to address citizens’ concerns promptly and transparently. The Mobile Police Station represents a vital link in this ongoing effort to ensure that no citizen is left unheard”, he added.
He said that the launch of this innovative service reflected police’s evolving approach toward smart, mobile and citizen-friendly policing, aligning with contemporary law enforcement standards and enhancing public satisfaction across the region.
