Mobile Police Station project launched in Gujrat

GUJRAT, Oct 29 (APP):The Punjab government’s Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit project, initiated by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was inaugurated here on Wednesday.
District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Umar Farooq, accompanied by DSP Traffic Zaheer Ahmad Janjua, formally opened the facility.
The mobile unit will provide on-the-spot services, including issuance and renewal of motorcycle and car driving licenses, character certificates, and other facilities available at police service centers.According to a police spokesperson, the mobile unit aims to extend services particularly to female educational institutions and working women, with women police staff deployed for their facilitation.
A schedule will be issued for its movement to keep citizens informed in advance about its arrival. During the inauguration, DPO Rana Umar Farooq also supervised driving tests for license applicants.
