SIALKOT,Oct 03 (APP):In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister(CM) and directives of the Inspector General of Police (Punjab),a mobile police station has been launched in the district to facilitate citizens, particularly those living in remote and rural areas,here on Saturday.
According to police spokesperson Khurrum Shehzad,the mobile facility would enable citizens to access police station services,Khidmat Markaz facilities and driving licensing services at the local level.
He said the mobile police station would receive applications,register First Information Reports (FIRs) according to prescribed procedures and issue e-tags.
It would also provide learner permits,driving license renewal,e-sign services and driving road tests.
Priority would be given to complaints involving women and children with relevant police officers and female personnel available at the facility,he added.
The weekly schedule,locations and Google Maps coordinates of the mobile police station would be shared through the official platforms of Sialkot Police and Traffic Police.
Citizens would also be informed in advance through local announcements and with the cooperation of social organizations.
DPO Sialkot Captain (Retd.) Dost Muhammad said that,in line with the Punjab government’s vision,all necessary measures would be taken to improve the public service delivery system and ensure quality services,transparency and greater convenience for citizens.
