Mirpurkhas Police train volunteer squad to strengthen Muharram security arrangements

MIRPURKHAS, Jun 17 (APP):In a proactive step to ensure the peaceful and secure observance of Muharram-ul-Haram, Mirpurkhas Police, in collaboration with Bhittai Medical and Dental College, on Wednesday organized a comprehensive training and awareness session for male and female volunteers from the Shia community.
Addressing the participants, SSP Mirpurkhas Syed Fida Hussain Shah underscored the importance of maintaining law and order, adhering to legal guidelines, promoting inter-community cooperation, and performing responsibilities with discipline during Muharram. He reaffirmed the police department’s commitment to working closely with all schools of thought to foster religious harmony, unity, and brotherhood across the district.
During the session, volunteers received detailed briefings on security protocols, emergency response procedures, coordination mechanisms, crowd management, and preventive measures. The training was conducted by SSP Syed Fida Hussain Shah, DSP City Muhammad Naeem Chachar, SHO CTD Ejaz Malik, Special Branch official Azhar Jafri, Rescue 1122 paramedic Bilawal Ali, and DIB representative Abdul Rahim Mughal. Senior police officers, community leaders, medical professionals, and district officials also attended the event.
Participants pledged their full cooperation with law enforcement agencies and expressed their commitment to maintaining effective coordination throughout Muharram.
According to a Mirpurkhas Police spokesperson, all necessary measures are being implemented to ensure a peaceful atmosphere and promote religious harmony, brotherhood, and public safety during the sacred month.
