According to a police spokesperson, the case came to light on September 25, 2026, when the affected family approached SSP Mirpur Khurram Iqbal and lodged a complaint. The family reported that their daughter was travelling to an academy with her brother when a video of her was uploaded by an unidentified TikTok account, raising serious concerns about the family’s privacy and reputation.
Taking immediate notice of the complaint, SSP Khurram Iqbal directed the Cyber Crime Unit Mirpur to investigate the matter using modern technical resources and take legal action in accordance with the law.
