ISLAMABAD, Sep 21 (APP):The Ministry of Religious Affairs has taken notice of complaints against certain private Hajj companies, refusing to accept bookings despite quota availability being shown on the official Hajj portal.
According to the ministry, numerous pilgrims have reported that tour operators claimed their quotas were full, while seats were still appearing as available on the Hajj portal.
The spokesperson urged pilgrims, who face such a discrepancy to lodge a formal complaint with the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
He said that pilgrims can submit complaints through the Inquiry option on the “Pak Hajj App”, contact the Section Officer (Monitoring) or email at [email protected].
The spokesperson said the ministry would investigate cases, where a discrepancy is found between the quota displayed on the Hajj portal and the information provided by a tour operator.
Complaints received against private Hajj companies will also be incorporated into the respective companies’ monitoring reports, the spokesperson added.
Pilgrims have been advised to provide the name of the tour operator, details of the available quota and relevant supporting evidence when submitting a complaint.
The ministry reiterated that protecting the interests of Hajj pilgrims and ensuring transparent booking under the private Hajj scheme remain among its priorities.
