MURREE, Jan 23 (APP):Punjab Minister for Communications Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bherth, accompanied by Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak, Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi and District Police Officer Murree Dr Muhammad Raza Tanveer Sipra, visited the Murree Expressway at Masyari on Friday to review arrangements for tourists in the wake of recent snowfall.
The visit included briefings from heads of various district departments on overall tourist facilities, traffic management and administrative measures implemented by the district administration.
Officials focused on guiding tourists, ensuring adequate parking, controlling traffic and providing timely access to emergency services. Machinery and personnel were instructed to remain on high alert along main roads, connecting routes and key tourist spots to maintain smooth traffic flow.
All departments were directed to provide every possible facility to visitors, with strict instructions that negligence would not be tolerated and that public safety remained the highest priority.
The officials also emphasised coordination among relevant agencies to guarantee effective and uninterrupted services for tourists during the snowy conditions.
