LAHORE, Dec 04 (APP): Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has announced that pathology lab collection centers will soon be established in other hospitals across the province to enhance diagnostic services.
He made the announcement while inaugurating the first female Pathology Lab Collection Center of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) on Thursday.
The minister said the newly established center, built at a cost of Rs 4.6 million, is designed to cater specifically to female patients and can accommodate testing for 15 patients at a time. The facility will provide diagnostic services from 8 am to 8 pm.
During his visit, Khawaja Salman Rafique met the staff members of the new center, who also presented him with a bouquet. He praised the philanthropists whose contributions made the establishment of the center possible and said similar female-focused pathology collection centers will be set up in other hospitals soon.
He added that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the government is committed to providing the best cardiac care facilities to heart patients across the province.
The minister congratulated the Chairman Board of Management, the Executive Director, the Medical Superintendent and their teams for successfully establishing the province’s first female Pathology Lab Collection Center.
Chairman Punjab Chief Minister Advisory Committee for Cardiology and Chairman Board of Management Dr. Farqad Alamgir, Professor Anjum Jalal, MS PIC Dr. Aamir Rafique Butt, and other senior faculty members attended the ceremony. Professor of Pathology Prof. Anbreen Anwar, Dr. Zeeshan Ghaus, Dr. Imran Shah, and Director Finance Hassan Latif were also present on the occasion.
