LAHORE, Jan 27 (APP):Punjab Minister for Communication and Works (C&W) Sohaib Ahmad Bharth on Tuesday chaired a
meeting to review ongoing beautification works on the Ring Road.
The minister was briefed on the progress of road work, installation of street lights, wall paintings,
restoration and upgrading of toll plazas, and artistic murals along the road.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Communication and Works Suhail Ashraf, Additional Secretary
Ring Road Authority, officials from the Federal Directorate of Works, and senior officers from related departments.
Sohaib Ahmad Bharth said all toll plazas on the Ring Road would be upgraded to a state-of-the-art standard, providing a visually appealing environment for both commuters and tourists. He appreciated the painting work along the outer walls of villages on service roads and noted that artistic murals near the toll plazas would further enhance the road’s aesthetics.
The minister added that asphalt work in damaged sections was progressing rapidly, while plantation of greenery along the road was continuing steadily. He emphasized that these initiatives align with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif to transform the Ring Road into a model road.
Sohaib Ahmad Bharth underscored that continuous improvements were being made to enhance the functionality and overall appeal of the Ring Road, describing the project as a significant step toward providing the public with modern, safe, and aesthetically pleasing infrastructure.
