SIALKOT, Aug 28 (APP):Punjab Law Minister Sohaib Ahmed Bherth on Thursday visited Lahore, Pasrur, Wazirabad and Narowal, and reviewed the flood situation.
The officers of the communication and works department briefed the minister about
alternative routes and traffic plan.
Law Minister Sohaib Ahmed Bherth said that all possible measures were being taken to
prevent floods as the departments were working in a coordinated manner.
He added that the employees and officers of the district administration, police, Rescue 1122, civil defence, highways and other departments were present in the field.
He said the construction and repair of infrastructure affected by flood in the province would be repaired immediately.
The minister said that the Punjab government was protecting lives and properties of
people in flood-affected areas on priority.
