LAHORE, Jul 10 (APP):Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora visited the FGA Bible School on Wednesday and met Principal Reverend Liaquat Qaiser and his team.
During the visit, he inspected various departments of the school and reviewed the ongoing educational activities.
He was briefed that that FGA Technical Institute, 21 literacy centres, 27 schools across the province and four stitching centres were affiliated with their centre. People from remote areas, including minority women come here to take various courses, the minister was told.
Arora appreciated the school’s educational performance and said that undoubtedly minority educational institutions were playing key role in the country’s development. He assured the school administration that the government would provide all possible support for meeting educational needs of minorities.
He said that protecting the rights of minorities was among the government’s top priorities and every possible step was being taken in this regard. He said that the Punjab government was about to bring about a historic revolution in the field of IT by establishing IT cities in five cities and they were developing a digital platform in collaboration with the School Education Department so that digital literacy could be promoted from one city to another.
The school administration thanked the provincial minister for his visit and expressed satisfaction with the government’s support.
