LAHORE, Feb 23 (APP): Punjab Minister for Sports and Energy Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, along with President PML-N Lahore and Member National Assembly (MNA) Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar, inaugurated a newly established Medical ICU in the Emergency Department of Services Hospital here on Monday.
During the visit, Medical Superintendent Dr Imran Zaidi briefed the dignitaries on the hospital’s overall performance, available healthcare facilities, and ongoing development projects. The provincial minister and the MNA formally inaugurated the new ICU, aimed at strengthening emergency medical response and critical care services.
Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar inspected various wards, inquired after patients’ health, and interacted with attendants to obtain feedback regarding treatment standards, availability of medicines, and the conduct of medical staff. He directed hospital authorities to ensure that no negligence in providing quality healthcare facilities would be tolerated.
On the occasion, the provincial minister said that revolutionary steps are being taken in the health sector under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He emphasized that the chief minister’s vision is to provide modern, quality, and dignified healthcare services to every citizen and to align public hospitals with contemporary standards.
MNA Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar said that the new ICU facility would significantly enhance the provision of timely, effective, and quality treatment to patients arriving in emergency conditions. He added that the establishment of a modern ICU would bring marked improvement in emergency medical services.
