Minister for faster completion of water supply schemes in Abbottabad
PESHAWAR, Aug 17 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Health Engineering Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan has directed the concerned authorities to expedite work on ongoing water supply and sanitation schemes in Abbottabad and ensure their timely completion.
He issued the directives while presiding over a meeting here on Monday to review the progress of ongoing and proposed projects in the district. The Executive Engineer Abbottabad briefed the meeting on the status of various schemes and future projects.
The minister stressed that all schemes should be executed according to prescribed quality standards, saying provision of clean and safe drinking water to the people remained a top priority of the government.
He directed the department to identify new schemes in accordance with population needs and public requirements, and emphasized maintaining transparency and quality in the execution of water supply and sanitation projects.
