LAHORE, Oct 22 (APP):Provincial Minister for Education Rana Sikander Hayat distributed the appointment orders among the newly appointed Education officers here on Tuesday.
While addressing the ceremony, the minster expressed hope that they would leave no stone unturned in the discharge of their obligations. He directed the district education officers (DEOs) to evolve a comprehensive and targeted enrolment campaign for the out of school children, besides the effective monitoring system as well as restoring the extra curriculum activities in the schools.
He also announced the surprised rewards for those who would exhibit extra ordinary performance. Hayat said zero tolerance regime had been activated on the complaint of harassment by female teachers.
The provincial minister said that computer labs of the schools should be made more vibrant, adding that new computer courses in accordance with the demands of modern era should be introduced in the schools.
He also directed the district coordination officer (DCO) of concerned district to arrange the proper residence for the newly selected female DEOs. He said that 100 per cent merit had been ensured in the interview as well as appointment of all newly elected DEOs.
Appointment orders were distributed among 35 CEO, 12 DEOs and 54 DDEOs.
