QUETTA, Nov 24 (APP): Mir Muhammad Sadiq Imrani, Senior Provincial Minister of Balochistan, and Minister for Irrigation on Monday chaired a meeting regarding the “Balochistan Agricultural Income Tax Rules 2025”.
The meeting was attended by Mir Zahoor Buledi, Sardar Faisal Khan Jamali, representative of landowners Mir Chengiz Khan Jamali, Secretary Agriculture Noor Ahmed Parkani and Secretary Revenue Virender Lal.
Addressing the meeting on this occasion, Member of the Central Committee of the People’s Party and Parliamentary Leader and Chairman Review Committee Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani said that agricultural income tax would be collected from farmers across the country under tax laws and in this regard, officers of the Revenue Department and other concerned people have compiled agricultural income tax rules with great effort and responsibility in which farmers would be able to pay tax easily digitally under the tax laws.
He said that after the amendments in the “Agricultural Income Tax Rules 2025” and approval from the assembly, the agricultural income tax would be collected from farmers, the collection would increase the revenue of the province.
On this occasion, Revenue Secretary Virendra Lal informed the participants about the complete details of the Agricultural Income Tax Rules 2025. He said that the tax is not applicable on farmers earning up to Rs 0.6 million per annum, therefore, farmers earning more than Rs 0.6 million have been included in the net of paying agricultural tax respectively.
In the meeting, the committee members deliberated on various contents of the tax laws and discussed various issues and informed the participants about their views.
