Minister Bilal Akbar reviews Muharram security arrangements in Jhang
FAISALABAD, Jun 23 (APP):Provincial Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan along with Advisor to Chief Minister on Political Affairs Zeeshan Malik have visited Jhang district to review security and administrative arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram processions.
Divisional Commissioner Madam Musarrat Jabeen, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jhang Ali Akbar Bhinder, District Police Officer (DPO) Sajid Hussain and other senior district officials were also present on the occasion.
The provincial minister and CM Advisor conducted a detailed inspection of the routes of main 7th Muharram procession in Jhang city.
They also reviewed the monitoring system through CCTV cameras installed along the procession routes to ensure effective surveillance and security.
During visit, they appreciated the presence of district administration and police officials in the field as well as the coordination extended by peace committee members and procession organizers to maintain a peaceful environment. They also inspected arrangements made for the provision of cold drinking water, beverages and milk stalls for mourners, along with sprinkling of rose water along the procession routes.
They further reviewed the use of anti-smog guns for water sprinkling to reduce the impact of heat on participants.
The provincial minister and CM Advisor met procession organizers and expressed satisfaction over the overall administrative and security arrangements put in place for Muharram processions in the district.
They said that all departments were working in close coordination to ensure peaceful, safe and well-managed observance of Muharram-ul-Haram across the province.
