MULTAN, Dec 10 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) intensified its crackdown on milk adulterators, registering an FIR and arresting one person after contaminated milk samples were confirmed at a milk shop in Ghangla Chowk, Shershah Multan.
According to a PFA spokesperson, the milk shop was inspected following earlier laboratory reports, which declared the previously collected samples as unfit for consumption.
During the earlier operation, the PFA’s Food Safety team had discarded hundreds of litres of substandard milk and sent fresh samples to the laboratory. The latest test results revealed low fat content, reduced natural nutrition, and confirmed water adulteration in the milk being supplied.
Following the findings, the PFA sealed the milk shop and halted it’s production till improvements.
