DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 07 (APP):As part of the ongoing operation against encroachments in the city, the Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir held a meeting with local religious scholars and members of the peace committee on Wednesday.
According to administration, the meeting focused on addressing issues related to mosques and other religious places that have come under the scope of the anti-encroachment drive.
The primary objective was to find a peaceful and mutually acceptable solution in light of Islamic principles, while ensuring respect for religious sentiments.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner sought detailed Islamic perspectives from the Ulema on the sensitive matter, emphasizing that the district administration aimed to proceed in accordance with Shariah guidelines and within legal parameters.
He said that the administration was committed to resolving the issue through dialogue and consensus to avoid any unrest.
Religious scholars and peace committee members shared their views and assured their cooperation, highlighting the importance of maintaining law and order, religious harmony, and public peace during the implementation of the operation.
