Sargodha, Jul 28 (APP):Commissioner Jahanzeb Awan on Monday presided over a meeting to discuss key issues related to cleanliness, sewage, encroachments, beautification, and other civic matters in Sargodha.
According to the official spokesperson here, the Commissioner directed Deputy Commissioners to submit recommendations within two days to enhance the effectiveness of the Suthra Punjab program in urban and rural areas.
CO Municipal Corporation Majid Bin Aziz was instructed to inspect and report on the status of street lights, providing suggestions for their activation. The meeting also reviewed the progress of the City Beautification Plan, with the CO Municipal Corporation tasked with repairing and activating traffic signals.
On the occasion, the Commissioner emphasized the need for immediate measures to ensure proper drainage and safety precautions in anticipation of upcoming rains.
Jahanzeb Awan directed the Deputy Commissioners to identify areas where waterlogging could damage crops and take corrective measures in coordination with the Agriculture Department.
He stressed strict enforcement of sugar prices, ensuring compliance with the Chief Secretary’s directives.
He instructed the Highways authorities to repair the non-functional Prestressed Bridge on Khushab Road.
The Assistant Commissioner Sargodha was directed to visit rural areas and gather field feedback on the Suthra Punjab program.
