PESHAWAR, Jul 10 (APP):Provincial Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi on Wednesday chaired a meeting to discuss the promotion of PhD lecturers serving in Peshawar University.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Secretary and Deputy Secretary Higher Education, Registrar Peshawar University and representative of PhD lecturers.
The meeting was briefed about issues and problems that were hindering the promotion of PhD lecturers in next grade. It was told that large number of PhD lecturers that were serving on various posts in Peshawar University for the last 16 years, had been awaiting promotions.
Chairing the meeting, the minister directed the Registrar to permanently solve the matter and also analyze financial implications of promotions. He assured that problems of PhD lecturers would be resolved at the earliest considering different aspects of the issue.
