KOHAT, Nov 18 (APP):: Provincial Minister for Law, Aftab Alam Advocate here Tuesday chaired a meeting to discuss distribution of gas, pressure management and removal illegal gas connections.
The meeting among others was attended by Chief Minister aide, Shafiullah and representatives of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), Oil and Gas Development Corporation Limited.
The meeting discussed provision of gas in the district, upgrading of distribution system, load management, laying of new pipelines and ongoing projects.
Chairing the meeting, law minister highlighted the significance of laying new pipelines and said that government is committed to provide all basic amenities of life to people. He also expressed new rates of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas and said that Kohat district should be given exemption due to its production contribution.
He also directed to improve distribution system and address issues of low pressure, interrupted gas supply and weakness in the network. He also stressed devising a plan to address gas shortage and developing a liaison among all concerned department.
