PESHAWAR, Jul 25 (APP):The first technical group meeting of project titled “Integrated Climate Risk Management for Strengthened Resilience to Climate Change in Buner and Shangla Districts ” was held under the chairmanship of Adeel Shah, Secretary Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting was attended by a delegation of the World Food Program led by Lindita Bare, Deputy Country Director, officials from relevant government departments, district administration and the Planning and Development Department.
Secretary Planning, Adeel Shah, emphasized the importance of the meeting and stressed to chalk out a course of action in view of the current climate challenges. Highlighting the significance of flood early warning systems, he pointed out that there is room for improvement in the existing system.
The meeting discussed strengthening resilience to climate change in Buner and Shangla districts through integrated climate risk management. The discussions focused on collaborative efforts to enhance climate resilience.
