DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 09 (APP):The district administration of South Waziristan Lower is taking concrete steps to ensure availability of adequate healthcare facilities for people of the area.
In this regard, Additional Assistant Commissioner Wana, Rizwan Burki recently visited District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ), Wana in line with the provincial government’s agenda, the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Good Governance Policy, and on the directives of the deputy commissioner to take stock of medical facilities in the hospital.
According to the administration he thoroughly reviewed various hospital departments, including the emergency unit, wards, laboratory, availability of medicines, cleanliness arrangements, and overall service delivery.
He also examined medical stores and other facilities within the hospital premises to assess their functioning.
Moreover, he interacted directly with patients and their attendants to gather firsthand information about the facilities being provided and the issues they were facing.
Public complaints were attentively heard, and concerned officials were issued clear directives for the immediate and effective resolution of the reported problems.
The hospital administration was instructed to further improve patient facilitation, ensure transparency in service delivery, maintain cleanliness and discipline, and enhance the overall quality of healthcare services.
