RAWALPINDI, Oct 16 (APP): Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Aamir Khattak on Thursday chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025, scheduled to be held on October 26 under the supervision of the University of Health Sciences (UHS).
The meeting was attended by officers from the district administration, police, health, education, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), and other departments concerned.
Khattak directed that all examination centres be properly cleaned and equipped with the required facilities before the test day. He further instructed that waiting areas for parents be provided with drinking water, tents, fans, and washrooms.
He said that Section 144 would remain enforced on the examination day to maintain law and order, while special stalls would be set up outside the centres for the collection of mobile phones.
WAPDA was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with generators to serve as backup at all centres. NADRA mobile vans would also be deployed for candidates’ biometric verification.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, the traffic police would make special arrangements, while each centre would have two ambulances, one male and one female doctor, and paramedical staff on duty. Nearby hospitals would remain on high alert.
Liaison officers had been appointed to oversee the transportation and security of examination material.
The commissioner emphasized that all arrangements should be completed well in time and that all departments must maintain close coordination with the UHS to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the test.
