LAHORE, Jul 23 (APP):Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has officially released CCTV footage related to the violent incidents of May 9, asserting that all facts surrounding the tragic episode have now come to light.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, she stated that the court verdicts in the May 9 cases were beginning to be announced after a two-year legal process, marking what she called a “significant step toward justice”.
“The planning, individuals involved, and the locations where conspiracies were devised have been fully exposed,” she said. “The masterminds and executors of these attacks—especially those who incited violence and set fire to the memorials of our martyrs—are the real enemies of Pakistan and deserve no leniency.”
She added that the attacks on military installations were carried out with full planning and coordination, and that there is now no ambiguity about the perpetrators or their intentions.
Azma Bokhari highlighted that, under the directives of the Supreme Court, all trial courts must deliver verdicts in the May 9 cases within four months. She reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring accountability, declaring that “the mastermind of May 9 and his coach will neither escape nor be spared.”
She concluded by affirming that the legal process will proceed with transparency and integrity, and vowed that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s martyrs will always be honored.
