LAHORE, Nov 15 (APP): As part of the ongoing Smog Awareness Campaign, masks were distributed to citizens in the China Chowk area on Saturday.
The initiative, held under the Smog Free Punjab Vision, was led by Uzma Amir Butt, Chairperson of the Nawaz Sharif Lover Group, who personally distributed masks to the public.
In addition to the masks, informative pamphlets were handed out to raise awareness about the dangers of smog. Uzma Amir Butt urged citizens to get their vehicle emissions tested and advised everyone to wear masks when stepping outside.
The campaign was supported by Munawar Naqvi, Mirza Khalid Baig, and Hammad Butt, who were also present at the event. Experts continue to highlight that Lahore is frequently ranked among the most polluted cities globally, urging residents to take precautions, such as wearing masks and limiting outdoor activities.
