QUETTA, Jun 24 (APP):Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production, Senator Abdul Qadir, has said that the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala is an eternal beacon of truth, justice, and perseverance, which continues to guide humanity against oppression.
In a statement issued here, Senator Abdul Qadir described the tragedy of Karbala as a shining chapter in Islamic history that forever distinguished truth from falsehood. He emphasized that the stand taken by Imam Hussain was not for power, wealth, or personal gain, but for the preservation of Islam’s true spirit, justice, and reform of the Muslim Ummah.
He noted that the core lesson of Karbala is to always support truth and never bow before tyranny. “If injustice and oppression prevail in society, silence is not an option. Bearing witness to truth and striving for reform is the religious and moral duty of every Muslim,” he said.
Senator Abdul Qadir highlighted the patience and steadfastness shown by Imam Hussain and his companions despite extreme thirst, limited resources, and harsh conditions, calling it a timeless example for humanity. He added that Karbala teaches that trials in the path of Allah’s pleasure and the supremacy of truth cannot force believers to abandon their principles.
He urged the Muslim world to understand and implement the universal message of Karbala in both individual and collective life. “Unfortunately, sometimes this great sacrifice is viewed from narrow angles, whereas Imam Hussain’s message is for the entire Ummah and all humanity,” he remarked.
