MANSEHRA, Nov 02 (APP):Mansehra Police, under the supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Gandapur, have intensified operations across the district to curb drug trafficking, maintain law and order, and eliminate criminal elements.
In a series of successful actions, Shinkiari Police recovered 7.795 kilograms of hashish, 290 grams of ice, and 205 grams of heroin from three drug dealers. The accused, identified as Abid son of Aziz-ur-Rehman (resident of Geruwal Dhodiyal), Gulfam son of Noor Islam (resident of Mongan Machhi Pool), and Muneeb son of Aashiq Hussain (resident of Mongan Machhi Pool), were arrested during separate operations. All suspects have been booked, and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, in compliance with the directives of DPO Shafiullah Gandapur, a large-scale search and strike operation was carried out across various areas of Oghi Circle under the supervision of SPO Oghi Zahid-ur-Rehman. The operation was led by DSP Oghi Waheed Khan, assisted by SHO Oghi Sadaqat Khan, SHO Darband Ishtiaq Khan, and other police personnel.
During the operation, police conducted door-to-door searches, thoroughly checking suspicious locations, tenants, and sensitive areas. A significant quantity of illegal weapons was recovered, while identity documents and tenancy records were also examined to prevent unlawful activities or suspicious movement.
The ongoing crackdown aims to strengthen peace and security in the region by identifying and apprehending suspects, seizing illegal arms and narcotics, and ensuring effective action against criminal networks operating in the district.
