RAWALPINDI, Aug 04 (APP):Police have arrested a man for displaying arms on social media in the jurisdiction of R.A Bazaar police station here on Sunday.
Police have also confiscated weapons used in the crime.
According to the police spokesman, the arrest of the suspect identified as Tabasum, came after concerns were raised about the dissemination of weapon-related content, causing fear and panic among the public.
SP Potohar Nasir Nawaz said the accused will face strict action adding that this is a clear message that those who use social media platforms to spread fear and terror will be held accountable.
He made it clear that it is a prime duty of the police to protect the lives and properties of people.
