LAHORE, Jul 07 (APP):A young man lost his life after being trapped under a mound of earth while digging near Bata Pur, Jallo area, here on Monday.
Rescue 1122 officials said that, according to eyewitnesses, 21-year-old Sabir was engaged in excavation work when the soil suddenly collapsed, burying him beneath the debris. Rescue 1122 team rushed to the scene and promptly began a rescue operation. They later recovered the body and transported it to Ghurki Trust Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Rescue 1122 has urged the public and contractors to strictly follow safety protocols to prevent such avoidable fatalities in the future.
