FAISALABAD, Dec 21 (APP): SHO Women police station Inspector Madiha Irshad, acting on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, arrested a man on charge of harassing a woman and issuing serious threats over phone calls.
A police spokesman said the accused, Hafeez, visited the house of Alia Shehzadi, a resident of Samanabad, under the pretext of performing spiritual healing and allegedly subjected her to harassment.
The victim later reported that the accused also threatened her with dire consequences
through phone calls.
Following the complaint, Women Police Station promptly took action and apprehended the accused while further investigation is underway, he added.
