SUKKUR, Jan 14 (APP):A quarterly review meeting was held in Jacobabad district on Wednesday to consolidate malaria control interventions and reduce incidence in the high-endemic area.
The meeting, chaired by District Manager, Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO), was chaired by Project Coordinator Hamid Ali Magsi and Jinsar Ali Jatoi, brought together focal persons from 20 health facilities.
The session focused on capacity building, clinical guidelines, and reporting mechanisms to improve service delivery and program performance.
Dr Khursheed Bhutto, DDHO, conducted a detailed session on National Treatment Guidelines, emphasizing standard case management practices, rational use of medicines, and adherence to approved protocols.
District Coordinator, Malik Khuda Bux, delivered a comprehensive session on FM-2 report preparation and submission, highlighting the importance of data accuracy and timely reporting. The implementation of the FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) protocol in stock management was also discussed to minimize wastage and ensure medicine availability.
The meeting concluded with key takeaways on strengthening clinical practices, improving reporting quality, and ensuring effective stock management. The chair appreciated the efforts of all facilitators and participants, emphasizing consistent follow-up at the facility level.
