LAHORE, Jul 21 (APP): The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has activated its cleaning operational teams across the city keeping in view the possibility of rain.
According to LWMC sources here on Monday as per the directive of CEO Babar Sahib Din, sanitaion staff has been deployed to ensure clearance of all identified hotspots, with instructions to clear all temporary collection points on a daily basis.
Instructions have also been given to immediately remove silt and debris accumulated along roadsides to improve rainwater flow. Special cleaning teams are currently active in key areas including Nishtar Town, Main Ferozepur Road, Ravi Town, and Shahdara Town. Additionally, focused cleaning operations continue in rural union councils of Allama Iqbal Town, Thokar, Adda Plot and Raiwind.
In preparation for the rain, LWMC teams have been placed on high alert to ensure 100% clearance of commercial markets and container clearance. CEO Babar Sahib Din emphasized that under the prevailing weather conditions, officials were maintaining field presence to ensure full attendance and effective performance by the cleaning staff.
Citizens have been urged to cooperate with the sanitation teams during rainfall.
