LODHRAN, Jul 17 (APP):A 12-member delegation of faculty and students from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) visited the Ali Tareen Farms for an educational tour.
The delegation included former LUMS Vice Chancellor Dr. Syed Zahoor Hassan, team lead Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja, and other participants.
General Manager of Ali Tareen Farms Asim Nisar Bajwa briefed the delegation and stated that Jahangir Khan Tareen has mechanized and modernized agriculture. He explained that due to the use of modern technology introduced by Tareen, there has been a significant improvement in crop yield, quality, and overall efficiency. He further said that Jahangir Tareen successfully transformed barren land in Lodhran into fertile agricultural land. If this model is adopted elsewhere, barren lands across the country can be turned productive, leading to excellent crop yields.
The LUMS delegation was also given a detailed briefing by the Ali Tareen Farm management on modern agricultural technologies, advanced machinery, mango and other crop cultivation, and innovative irrigation methods.
During their field visit, the LUMS team witnessed the practical application of modern farming technology and appreciated Jahangir Tareen’s progressive approach and use of innovation in agriculture.
